Builder & Robotics Engineer (Level I - Lego Explorer)

Beginner students who sign up for our Level 1 Robotics course of 15 classes will explore introductory/intermediate concepts in Robotics engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design and code, and create unique solutions via the latest Robotic Kits including LEGO® Spike Explore, Dash & Dots, Ozobots and other Robotic models. Students will solve unit plans and missions challenges in the Lego Explore Curriculum appropriate to their skill level and age. We will host a BOT battle at the end of the semester where the kids will solve a specific Mission Challenge and battle against the Bots of classmates with speed and precision for an exciting win and lots of prizes!

Best for kids age 7+. No prerequisite skills required for this class.

Students who sign up for our Level 2 Robotics course of 15 classes will explore intermediate/advanced concepts in Lego Robotics engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design and code, and create unique solutions via the latest Robotic Kits including LEGO® Spike Prime, FLL challenge missions and other Robotic mission models. Students will solve FLL missions challenges in the current years Lego FLL Challenge Curriculum appropriate to their skill level and age. We will host a mission battle at the end of the semester where the kids will solve a specific timed Mission Challenge and battle against the Bots of classmates with speed and precision for an exciting win and lots of prizes!

Best for kids age 9+. Prerequisites: Kids must have some prior exposure to coding or Robotics Level 1 skills or both.

Coder & Game Designer (Level I - Scratch Coding)

Wednesdays - 4.00 to 5.00 PM (Mckinney) | Aug 24th - Dec 7th 2022

In a course comprising of 15 classes, kids will begin their coding journey by learning Programming basics in Scratch through fun and interactive lesson plans, games, projects, and guidance from our expert instructors. Be assured that your kiddos will have a blast learning coding and computational basics in this Level 1 Coding class. They’ll have a ball learning new and essential skills in program logic, testing, bug fixing and troubleshooting. This program will enable them to expand their creativity and problem solving skills. Proficiency in Scratch will provide a strong foundation for learning other programming languages such as Lua, Python and Javascript. No prerequisites required for this class.

Ages 6-10

Coder & Game Designer (Level II - Roblox Coding)

Wednesdays - 5.30 to 6.30 PM (Mckinney) | Aug 24th - Dec 7th

Why play video games all day when your child can learn so much by creating their own! This camp integrates fundamentals of coding, game design,STEM, computer science and programming design into a student-centered project that combines imagination, creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills as they design their own Roblox video game using the Lua Programming language in Roblox Studio. Best for kids ages 8-14.

In this weekly course of 15 classes, children will master coding in Roblox and build their own creative Roblox Games. Prerequisites for the course: Some experience with Scratch coding or basic coding skills is preferred. The child must know how to use a laptop and must be on grade-level in reading, writing, reading comprehension and have some experience with typing.

Digital Content Creation & Technology Applications

Fridays | 4.30 - 5.30 pm | Mckinney | Sep 9th- Dec 16th

Learn what it takes to be a Digital Content Creator by exploring how to write, produce, film, and edit your own videos and multimedia content! In this course of 13 classes, students will immerse themselves in all aspects and roles of Audio-Video production and make short-length movies. They will learn about the different phases of movie production from pre to post-production techniques, editing, mixing etc in Imovie. Kids will also learn how to storyboard, write a script or screenplay and design content for any occasion or purpose, including your school projects. Lessons include sound effects, digital animation, video editing and effects, graphic design, monetization, and creating content for your very own  brand or media channel that you can showcase to friends & family.

Best for kids age 8-15.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Coder & Game Designer (Level III - Javascript and Python Coding)

Fridays | 5.45 - 6.45 pm | Mckinney | Aug 26th- Dec 16th

In the Level 3 Coding Lab, kids will be learn coding in Python or the Javascript Programming language.  The course will introduce intermediate to complex concepts in coding a procedural or script-based programming language appropriate to the child’s age and understanding. By the end of the course, they will be able to publish their games and programs for the world to enjoy! We recommend kids complete our Level 1 or Level 2 classes before advancing to Level 3 lessons. If your child has taken coding lessons at a different institute or school for at least 1+ year or is a self learner and loves coding, please send us the relevant information before enrolling.
