AI AND THE FUTURE OF PROGRAMMING
There’s a common misconception these days. That coding might become obsolete since Artificial Intelligence is taking over the world. Another myth that you might hear is that all programming or software jobs will go away in the future. Let’s test if there is any truth to these claims.
Artificial Intelligence is a tool that might assist in software development. But, AI cannot completely replace human programmers, at-least not soon enough. While AI can automate code generation & testing, it still requires human input and oversight. For example, AI can suggest code snippets to solve a problem, but we still need a human programmer to apply and test the solution.
Moreover, AI systems are only as good as the data and algorithms they are trained on. We still need human coders to design and optimize these systems. We need human programmers to ensure our software produce accurate and ethical results.
Coding is a valuable skill that can provide a foundation for a career in technology. Learning programming can help individuals understand how technology works. As technology continues to evolve, the need for skilled coders will only grow. So, it is not accurate to say that AI is taking over the need to code or program. Rather, AI is complementing and enhancing the work of human coders and programmers. It is making their jobs more efficient and effective.
