Internship Overview:
Techie Factory is seeking motivated and tech-savvy interns to assist in delivering our after-school coding and robotics programs for kids aged 6-14. This position offers hands-on experience in STEM education, technology coaching, and classroom management. Interns will support lead instructors in engaging students with fun and creative lessons on coding, robotics, digital animation, and other tech topics. This is a great opportunity to build teaching, leadership, and technical skills while contributing to our mission of preparing kids for a technology-driven world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead instructors with teaching after-school programs (4 PM – 7 PM weekdays) and occasional weekend sessions.
• Help students with hands-on projects in topics like Lego Robotics, STEM, coding (Java, Python, Javascript), game design, and digital art.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and fun learning environment.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials, and cleanup.
• Provide individual guidance to students to help them succeed in their projects.
• Act as a role model by arriving on time with a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

• Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, STEM, Education, or a related field.
• Basic coding knowledge (Scratch, Python, Java, etc.).
• Passion for technology and education.
• Strong communication skills and patience with children.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to various class locations in North Texas.
• Available to work weekday evenings and some weekends as needed.

Preferred:

• Experience working with kids in a classroom or camp setting.
• Robotics or coding coaching experience.
