LEVEL 2 STEM CLASSES - AGES 9+

CODER & GAME DESIGNER:  ROBLOX/MINECRAFT CODING

Why play video games all day when your Techie can learn so much by creating their own!

Building on the fundamentals taught in the Level I version of this lab, this Level II lab challenges Techies to use the fundamentals of coding, game design, computer science and design thinking, and combine that with the power of imagination, creativity and teamwork as they work to design and develop their own ROBLOX video game using the Lua programming language. Best for Techies age 9-14.

MONDAYS 6:15 – 7:15 PM

LEVEL II – LEGO ROBOTICS CHALLENGE

Techies in our Level II Robotics course will explore intermediate/advanced concepts in Lego Robotics engineering, working on more challenging real-world problems, all the while continuing to expand their design thinking and problem solving skills.

Techies will solve challenging First Lego League or Competition Ready Challenge missions relevant to their age and skill levels using LEGO® Spike Prime, and other robotic kits. Best for Techies age 9+.

TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS: 6:15 – 7:15 PM

ROBOTICS CODING CLASSES FRISCO TX

LEGO FLL TEAM COACHING

This weekly workshop is designed for students or coaches who are competing in the FLL challenge this year or interested in competing next year. Each class is 75 mins long. We will mentor students on their FLL mission challenges and help them program their robots, troubleshoot, and optimize their mission run times . We can work with teams that are already registered and need additonal help with mission projects and score optimization. Please note that teams must have additional practice at home and attending these classes is not a sure recipe to team win in the FLL challenge.

WEDNESDAYS:  6:15 – 7:30 PM

DIGITAL ART & ANIMATION (STOP MOTION)

Create your own animation videos by exploring how to write, produce, film, and edit your own Lego Stop Motion videos and multimedia content!

In this lab, Techies will be immersed in all aspects and roles of Audio-Video production while making short-length stop motion movies. They will learn about the different phases of movie production from pre to post-production techniques, editing, mixing in Lego Stop Motion Animation and other relevant software applications.

They will also explore concepts of Digital Animation and Art on FlipAClip, ProCreate and traditional artistic techniques too. This time will also serve as Parent’s night out once a month with miscellaneous STEM themes, eSports, Chess and other add-on activites during these days.
