Builder handle: ____________________ Date: ____________
Materials
- ☐ Paper and markers
- ☐ A coin or a die
- ☐ Two small tokens
- ☐ A friend or family member to playtest
Steps
- Draw a track. Draw 20 squares from Start to Finish. Mark 3 squares 'go back 2' and 3 squares 'go forward 2'. ☐
- Pick a move rule. Flip a coin: heads move 2, tails move 1. Or roll a die. ☐
- Playtest 5 games. Write down who won and how long each game took. ☐
- Tune one rule. If one player always wins or games drag on, change one rule and playtest again. ☐
Finish line
A game that you have playtested at least 5 times and changed at least once.
Finish line: You can say which rule you changed and why.

- ☐ The game might favor going first
- ☐ The game is perfect
- ☐ The coin is broken
- ☐ Nothing
- Why change only one rule at a time?
- ☐ So you know which change made the difference
- ☐ Rules are expensive
- ☐ It's faster to change all of them
- ☐ No reason
